About me
I'm Stephanie Boyle, award-winning founder and director of Arwen Communications.
A dedicated communications professional, anyone who knows me can confirm, I tell it like it is. That's because I believe two things:
-
People know when you're BS'ing them (and they don't like it)
-
Time is precious, so you might as well get to the point
My Story
I was born into communications. Growing up, my parents had all sorts of careers - actor, voiceover, author, public speaker, presentation trainer, drama teacher. They even ran their own casting agency. The art of communicating was all around me, during family dinners, bedtimes, performing in local theatres from a young age and defending teenage life choices.
Over the past 15 years, I've embarked on my own communications journey which has taken me from completing a BFA degree in Acting in Florida, to strategic planning in New York, voice-over work in Brussels and over a decade of PR and Communications work in London (with a bit of singing and acting on the side).
Now, when people ask me what I do, I share that I am a strategic communications specialist, with over a decade of experience across multiple sectors. I'm a trained media spokesperson (recent appearances include BBC News, BBC Breakfast, BBC radio, Sky News, LBC and US regional radio), conference presenter, moderator and panelist with expertise in corporate reputation management, leadership comms, designing and implementing thought leadership campaigns, messaging development and spokesperson training.
Throughout my career, I've led global PR & comms programmes for internationally renowned companies like Tripadvisor and Skyscanner, and built communications functions from the ground up for startups like Culture Trip and Infogrid. I've represented fantastic tourism destinations like England, Normandy, Finland and Liguria and promoted leading sustainability players like Travalyst. I've orchestrated launches for new tech start-ups and given people at all levels the confidence to speak to media and in front of big industry crowds.
At the end of 2022, I decided it was time to set out on my own and that's when Arwen Communications was born. The name has its own story - not only is Arwen the powerful, passionate and uncompromising elf from Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings, it's also my daughter's middle name. Part of the reason I chose to leave the world of permanent employment behind and start my own consulting business was to create a better life balance for myself and spend more time with my daughter and family, so it feels very fitting.
I have dual nationality (British and American), speak French and Spanish and I'm based in London, but also happy to travel if work calls for it. I'm here to help people cut through the nonsense, re-connect with what matters most and find a great way to tell their story.
So if that's what you or your organisation are looking for, please get in touch. I'd love to help!
